Inspection
The Tune-Up is designed to ensure your bike is safe, silent, and ready for the road. We go beyond a simple wipe-down.
Frame / Fork
- check_circle Inspect frame for damage/wear, including dropouts, main tubes, seat clamp, bottle cages, and accessory mounting points.
- check_circle Inspect fork for damage/wear including dropouts, main tubes, crown, steerer tube and accessory mounting points.
Wheels / Tires
- check_circle Inspect spokes and rim for wear/damage.
- check_circle Inspect tyres for condition and wear.
Handlebar / Headset / Stem
- check_circle Inspect headset for wear/corrosion, adjust.
- check_circle Inspect handlebar for wear/damage, check torque.
- check_circle Inspect stem for wear, check/adjust torque, ensure straightness.
- check_circle Inspect handlebar tape/grips for wear/damage.
Brakes (Brake & Pad Type)
- check_circle Inspect caliper for correct function including clean/lube pistons.
- check_circle Inspect brake rotor for wear/damage/torque.
- check_circle Inspect condition of lever, including main body, blades and position. Adjust if required.
- check_circle Inspect condition of brake pads.
- check_circle Adjust brake, ensure correct function including no rub and appropriate bite-point.
Bottom Bracket / Cranks
- check_circle Inspect chain rings/crank arms/spindle for wear/damage.
- check_circle Inspect bottom bracket torque, ensure free rotation of bearings.
- check_circle Install crankset, ensure smooth running/no play.
Pedals
- check_circle Inspect pedal body for wear/damage.
- check_circle Ensure smooth rotation of pedal bearings and check for play.
Drivetrain / Gears
- check_circle Inspect chain for wear/damage, lubricate.
- check_circle Inspect cassette for wear/damage and torque.
- check_circle Inspect rear derailleur for wear/damage.
- check_circle Inspect rear derailleur cable/electronic wire for wear/damage.
- check_circle Ensure derailleur hanger is straight and secure.
- check_circle Set rear derailleur upper/lower limits and b-tension.
- check_circle Adjust rear derailleur indexing.
- check_circle Inspect front derailleur for wear/damage.
- check_circle Set front derailleur position/height.
- check_circle Set front derailleur upper/lower limits.
- check_circle Adjust front derailleur indexing.
Saddle
- check_circle Clean and inspect seat post and clamp. Grease/fiber grip as appropriate.
- check_circle Clean and inspect saddle rails/clamps. Adjust position if needed.
- check_circle Check saddle for wear/damage.
Accessories
- check_circle Ensure any accessories are safe/secure.
